In a noteworthy development for the Indian poultry sector, a delegation from the Poultry Federation of India (PFI) engaged in discussions with Mrs. Alka Upadhya, Secretary of the Department of Animal Husbandry, Fisheries & Dairying, Government of India, and other senior officials to extend Diwali greetings and discussed the current scenario of poultry industry.
The PFI team, comprised of Chairman Mr. Ramesh Khatri, President Mr. Ranpal Dhanda, Vice-President Mr. Sanjeev Gupta, Secretary Mr. Ravinder Sandhu, and Treasurer Mr. Ricky Thaper, participated in a productive discussion regarding the current challenges facing the poultry industry. The PFI team proposed strategic measures to promote eggs and chicken through printed media, emphasizing the importance of consumer awareness and consumption.
Additionally, the PFI delegation suggested the implementation of an annual Protein Week, proposing for its scheduling in December. This proposed initiative aims to spotlight the nutritional benefits of egg and chicken products.
The PFI team expressed appreciation for the ongoing support from the Department of Animal Husbandry, Fisheries & Dairying and conveyed their commitment to working together for the advancement of the industry.
