Mr. Kevin Roepke Honored for USSEC Services in Asia Subcontinent
Mr. Ricky Thaper and Mr. Sanjeev Gupta honoured Kevin Roepke, Regional Director for South Asia & Sub-Saharan Africa, US Soybean Export Council by presenting mementoes in the recognition of USSEC’s valuable contributions to the Poultry, Aqua and Livestock Industry in Asia Subcontinent under his leadership. Mr. Harsh Gupta presented Mementoes to Mr. Jaison John, Country Lead-India, USSEC. The team also honored Mr. Anuj Kumar, Iowa Economic Development Authority, State of Iowa, USA, who is doing the coordination for an upcoming trip for Mr. Kim Reynolds, Governor of Iowa State, USA to India
Mr. Roepke and Mr. John’s today’s meeting focused on collaborative efforts to strengthen the Indian poultry sector. The participants exchanged insights on the present state of the Indian poultry industry, including navigating challenges. Emphasis was placed on the importance of adopting innovative and sustainable practices to ensure long-term growth.
USSEC team elaborated on their ongoing initiatives, including the Soy Excellence Centre (SEC) program designed to empower young professionals in the poultry, aqua, and livestock sectors. The discussion explored potential collaborations between US Soyabean Export Council and other poultry associations to enhance industry standards, promote best practices in poultry nutrition and management, and foster economic growth. Ideas were exchanged on fostering research & development and capacity building through training programs.
Mr. Sanjeev & Mr. Harsh Gupta extended the invitation to Mr. Anuj for the visit of the Hon’ble Governor of Iowa and their delegation from USA to his farms near Gurgaon during his upcoming visit to Delhi, India.
The meeting concluded with affirmation of both sides’ commitment to leveraging their expertise and resources to address current challenges and capitalise on future opportunities in the Indian poultry market.
